About High Exposure
High Exposure answers production problems whilst filming - mountains, cliffs, high structures, snow & ice, Arctic cold or any other harsh and potentially hazardous environment. Safety is vital. It is not only common sense but Insurance Companies and “Health & Safety” regulations demand that production takes the correct measures to provide safety in extreme environments.
Documentary or Drama, Film or Advert -- directors often want dramatic locations with realistic action. High Exposure can help.

Extreme Mountain Sports
Provide expertise, personnel and information for rock & ice climbing, mountaineering, hill walking, adventure travel, skiing, mountain biking, caving, base jumping, canyoning, kayaking and many other associated disciplines.
Safety
In remote or difficult access locations the overseeing and managing of crew safety is one of our prime considerations. High Exposure provides safety equipment and then advises and manages shoots to prevent hazards such as falls from or down cliffs / high structures/ mountains, avalanches, rock and equipment falling, hypothermia and frostbite, altitude sickness, crevasses and getting lost.
Rigging
Our particular expertise is rigging in extreme environments especially on rock cliffs / mountain terrain and on high structures covered with snow and ice. This can be for general crew and actor safety or to assist camera, grips, riggers, stunt coordinators, lighting, sfx etc to capture the best action shots or to facilitate a particular stunt or film sequence.
Risk Assessment
We have a great deal of experience in assessing risk and working with “Health & Safety” in difficult environments. We also have a number of Health and Safety personnel who regularly work with us in extreme environments.

Experience
We are amazed that some productions still use amateurs such as hobby climbers and skiers or volunteer mountain rescue teams as part of a professional film team.
All High Exposure personnel are internationally qualified Mountain Guides whose skills combined with many years experience and knowledge of the film industry and its demanding requirements put us in a unique position to offer this service to the film, advertising and television industries.
Experience organising all of the mountain filming on the BAFTA award winning film "Touching the Void", the most recent Bond "Die another Day" second unit in Iceland or with Kenneth Brannagh on the "Shackleton" Channel 4 Drama in Greenland. A remote week long dog-sled journey across Baffin Island in winter for BBC 2's Wilderness Walks. Four years of indoor safety and training for LWT's Gladiators in Birmingham or providing safety on a crane in London's docklands with Davina McCall whilst filming "Don't try this at home". BBC documentaries series such a "Mountain Men", "Wild Climbs" "The Face" and "The Edge" in worldwide locations - K2, Matterhorn, Denali, Jordan, Vietnam, South Africa, Canada, USA, Borneo, South Georgia, Everest and of course the UK.
Location Finding
Finding the right place at the correct time of year is vital. We have vast world-wide knowledge of mountains and extreme locations. From the hills, moor lands and sea cliffs of Britain, through to the dramatic scenery of the Alps, Himalayas and the Arctic we have first hand experience, photos and reference material which will match film projects to the most suitable location at the correct time of year.

Medical and Rescue Cover
In case of emergencies in remote locations we can provide Rescue and First Aid facilities. We have a group of Doctors and Para-medics who we can recommend. All members of High Exposure are first aid trained.
Cut Costs
Many productions are reluctant to take on extra staff but safety is paramount. Usually our expertise in the extreme locations or activities enables a better and more efficient shoot in the best place at the ideal time. Helping to reduce costs.
Difficult Access and Bad Weather
Many locations are difficult to access. We provide advice and manpower to reach remote or difficult areas. In particular we are experts in the use of helicopters to advantage in many mountain regions of the world. Protection from bad weather is also vital and our team has been on over 40 Himalayan expeditions and we are highly experienced to provide day or multi day camps for crews.
Personnel Training
The correct training and use of equipment is critical to maintain the highest safety standards in difficult environments. It is also particularly important for continuity and reality for actors or models to use techniques and equipment correctly.
Stunts
We work closely with stunt coordinators and in many cases perform stunts related to our expertise especially climbing.
Project Development
Whether it is generating new ideas, suggesting locations, or turning existing ideas into reality, we can advance your project. Our knowledge of extreme environments and repertoire of techniques enable new possibilities and solutions to be suggested to maximise filming opportunities.
